Project
Three years ago the football world championship in Germany released a unique atmosphere of football euphoria. Last year the European championship was hold in Austria and Switzerland. Eurient e.V. would like to use the newly experienced enthusiasm, true to the motto: "The world as a guest with friends", to organise an international football camp for women in Leipzig.
The target group of the project are young female football player, who benefit only marginal from the already established cultural activities. Our focus is aimed especially at the people from the Arabian countries and Europe. We invited teams from Jordan, Algeria, Bulgaria, Palestine, Norway and Germany. In light of discourses about topics like "Islam" and "Gender" we want to provide for a "dialog of the cultures", with the message: Women don't play offside!
Since a common sport in the purposes of "Fair Play" can create speechless trust.

We see here the chance to use football as universal means of a culture spreading notification for all. Since a common sport in the purposes of "Fair Play" can create speechless trust.
Target – Objective
With the international women football camp "Kick it!" a project is brought to life which aims at intercultural meetings across national and religious borders. Sport and especially football as a global phenomenon offers ideal conditions for this, because sport not only speaks all languages, but creates literally a playground for joy through the common experience, too!
During the last years women's football gained more and more importance. The German ladies won the World Cup's title once, and six times the European championship's title. Boosted by these results women's football receives more attention in Germany – this, too, can be seen in the fact that the number of junior teams has doubled within the last two years.

Girl's teams from Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Bulgaria, Norway and Germany will take part in the 13-day camp. The team from Jordan will be choosen by our cooperation partner Mona Al-Adham of the organization National forum for Youth and Culture. In Algeria partner organizations in this country will take over this task. The thought is to take up the idea of the Barcelona Process which aims at a reinforced communication and at collaboration with the southern Mediterranean neighbours.
The project is based on two components. On one hand, common training unities are held alternating by the respective trainers. Thus mutual trust should be built up playfully and be helped away about reservations. (auf deutsch bitte?) On the other hand there is shared living and staying, right at the training area in the green outskirts of Leipzig, and an everyday leisure program to share experiences.
Common activities like city visits, football player's tournament "Leipziger Kickerschmiede", film evening in the "UT-Connewitz", canoe tours, cooking evenings etc. in a loose atmosphere, should help to wake up curiosity for other cultures as well as to build up contacts and friendships.
Another possibility is given to the sportswomen with a panel discussion to exchange publicly about the situation of the women's football in there countries. The highlight event, embedded in one women's football day, the final tournament, will be organized in collaboration with “Football Club 07 Leipzig” and the fan initiative "Wir sind Ade".
Organisation, conversion and realisation will be done bei eurient e.V. Its interculturally experienced members will look after and supervise the camp. The colloquial language of the meeting is English. For additionally occuring linguistic problems the association provides interpreter.
Public
The project is presented with different Public events. The panel discussion, screenings, as well as the Kicker tournament should also attract visitors. The final tournament will receive special attention.
Reports in local media and a presentation on the Internet as well as participation in broadcast transmissions are planned. In addition, we want to use our contacts with media from the Arabian world to report in the countries the players come from about the camp. Furthermore a large part of the project will be recorded on video and the participants should film themselves.
